At the height of my love for Michael Jackson I had trading cards and a calendar. My favorite pic of him was the one with the bow tie and the yellow shirt…….

Michael was to be my husband. Didn’t you know?

It was serious. When he caught on fire during the shooting of that pepsi commercial…..I cried.

All of the love my 7 year old heart could muster was devoted to Michael Jackson.

BUT. 

That was all before.

Before we saw the weirdness unfold. 

God did he get weird. His face was weird. His house was weird. His relationships with children- well- weird too. 

Sigh. 

All of this weirdness bundled up with my aforementioned love creates quite the paradox.

Shit. 

RIP Michael. Really.

Today I post for Gary. I am in love with this little creature. 

We saw a doc last night called “Wiener Takes All”.  Its movie about dachshund racing and all of the drama that one might expect from such little rascals. 

*It’s actually underwhelming in that its really a movie about the freaky owners of dachshunds. Shrug.

(People that love dachshunds are weird- eh?! How dare ye!). 

Ahheeeeeeaaaaaaaaammmmm.

A Cappella

I got this from NPR.

And I LOVE it. Look at all of the Parisians s-l-ow-ly start warm up to the scene and then freak out! 

I really have it for the street performers and the mimes of the world (and those guys that play the 10 gallon plastic jugs too)- and in my travels i can say that i have found the Paris metro to be brimming over with crazy/talented awesomeness. So this clip makes sense. 

Paris is a magic city after all.

And these guys are awesome (if not true street performers in the traditional sense of the role- coins tossed into a hat and such-but whatever).
